Right now, I have an extremely poor grasp on time so I can't actually remember on what days everything has happened, but a few days ago, I noticed a small lump had formed on the right of my neck. It was only noticeable when I touched it, but the next morning, it had grown quite a lot and I went to see the doctor. At first, he thought I had either a stone in my salivary gland or a lymph node (or something like that) infection, so I was sent for an ultrasound and after that was inconclusive, a cat scan. I was also put on antibiotics. That night was when the worst hit. I didn't sleep much at all for the simple reason I was vomiting repeatedly and had the worst diahroea I've seen in my life. The next morning we were straight back to the doctor and the unpleasant news was that I had to keep eating and drinking no matter how much it gave me diahroea or vomiting. Worse still was that one potential diagnosis was that I have mumps. I was immediately sent for a blood test as there has been a bit of a mumps outbreak on the Gold Coast, and they were going to phone us back later that day if I had mumps, otherwise we get the results tomorrow. So yes, it seems I'm in the clear - in any case, the lump on my neck has been significantly decreasing in size daily and I'm not showing other symptons.
What I suspect is that I have some kind of infection. I currently feel incredibly clogged with mucus, and the worst part is that I cannot even bring it up, it stubbornly stays stuck back in my throat. Ah, joy of joys. It doesn't help that I really don't have much energy in me to try to force it up. I feel so incredibly drained from the vomiting and diahroea. Thankfully, I haven't vomited in a few days and the diahroea's subsiding. I've been spending most of my time in bed and I truly feel so exhausted.
I just hope this is over soon.
