At least, that's what you'd expect they'd do if you listened to my previous rantings about dentists being blood sucking leeches who force you to pay exorbitant fees because you're willing to pay whatever they ask in order to relieve the pain. Thing is, this dentist was nice, there was only a little bit of pain when my mouth was numbed, she did a very good job, and I generally came out feeling positive. Yes, I was surprised too, and I guess I retract all the nasty things I've said about dentists. Though the high price and the right side of my face feeling gigantic were not quite as unexpected.
Things are really starting to come together for my trip to the States. I've now got most of the stuff I'll need to take, I'll be getting some US currency in the coming days, and - this is a bit of an odd turn of events, I know - I'll be ordering some Kiwi food to have on arrival. I specifically refer to Arataki manuka honey. That is some of my favourite stuff in the WORLD. Oh my goodness, it's incredible, I love it. And it's banned by Australian customs but NOT US customs. It's been two long years, but I'll finally get some delightful Arataki while I'm in the States. Yes, I'm going to the US and eating my favourite Kiwi food. I love the irony.
I think it's also now time to wish Bono a very happy 45th birthday. Because, you know, he reads my journal. Well, here's to another year of incredible music and inspiring political ranting and humanitarian services from the man who has inspired my interest in poverty, politics, and humanitarianism. Now, come on Bono, let's have another album before your next birthday! No pressure.
And with that, I shall go to bed. Have a good one, folks.
