The U2 tour continues!

As an update on yesterday's post about James and his horrible music, I just accidentally woke him by singing along to a bootleg of The Electric Co. very loudly. Now normally, I'd be embarrassed about that as my singing is atrocious. In this case, I'm amused and proud of myself. Maybe I should sing more often.

Highlight the below to read it.

GLORIA, G-L-O-R-I-A!!!! Yes, it's true! They played GLORIA! The Cry, The Electric Co., An Cat Dubh, Into The Heart, 40, and now GLOOOORIA! I just cannot believe it! This is already shaping out to be one incredible tour, and damn the whiners. I'm sick of the people who'll pick fault with absolutely anything U2 do, who don't seem to be satisfied by anything, who would love Achtung Toddler and Zoomerica but would then tear it apart if such albums were made - the kind of ungrateful whiners who really need to get a grip. U2 seem to really be determined to prove a point and make spectacular music, and we have one amazing tour on our hands, I believe. I can't wait for it to really get into gear.

The Electric Co. is simply unbelieveable. I can't believe it sounds this amazingly good after 17 years of absence! Honestly, the I Can See For Miles snippet makes it so good that it's one of my favourite performances EVER, and I am a HUGE early eighties fan who thinks the Elevation 11 O'clock Tick Tock is weak compared to the eighties versions. But they are doing brilliantly on this tour with The Electric Co. and An Cat Dubh, and I really do hope they pull out 11 O'clock Tick Tock too. Heck, even PRIDE sounds brilliant! I can't believe Pride, of all songs, is actually sounding good. A few eighties performances were great, but on the vast whole, it has been very sub-par live. Maybe times have changed. Oh, this is just such an exciting time to be a U2 fan.

If you don't know ... E-LEC-TRIC COOOOOO.!

This is also officially the latest entry I've made in a long time. I need to kick myself into gear and get things to talk about, because I know they're out there. I'm now letting stagnation excuse laziness. Or laziness excuse stagnation, or something like that.
