The changing of the guard.

So, 2004. This is the end.

Thanks for allowing me to beat the system and succeed, thanks for the wonderful rewards and results, thanks for the Vertigo single and the How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb album, thanks for the best days of my life, thanks for the day that put the future in place, and thanks for guiding me towards the career I should have pursued in the first place.

Thanks also for making me realise why I am glad high school is over and why I don't socialise.

No thanks for the terrorism, the earthquakes, the tsunamis, the lies, the wars, the humanitarian crises, and the tragedies.

Have a good one in the annals of history. You're going to be spending a long time there.

Toodle-oo!

2005, I welcome you, the year anticipated to be the best of my life. Don't let me down. 2006 will give you some stern competition, I am sure.

Good luck with solving the crises and disasters. You'll sure need it.

Friends list, here is a copy of New Year's Day for your festivities. I know, I have the performance from the 31 December 1989/1 January 1990 show, but I uploaded this one. Partly because my MP3 is better quality, partly because I enjoy the irony - the 30 December performance uploaded on 31 December of a song titled for 1 January. Enjoy! U2 - New Year's Day (30 December 1989, Point Depot, Dublin).

Just because I am feeling generous: U2 - New Year's Day (5 June 1983, Red Rocks, Colorado).
