If you didn't hear me and get the implication just then, NEW U2!
Download links on this page. I got all three!
YOU LIVE IN A PLACE CALLED VERTIGO!
This is the SHITTIEST-SOUNDING RECORDING EVER (eat your heart out, ZooTV Christchurch), but IT IS SO AMAZING! U2 ARE BACK. No amount of capitalisation could emphasis this. U2 ARE BACK. U2 ARE BACK. U-BLOODY-2 ARE BLOODY BACK! This is just AMAZING. The band are absolutely ROCKING, Edge's guitar sounds AMAZING, Bono's voice IS SO THERE, and I am shaking, bouncing up and down, I am so excited, this is so amazing. When Bono sings "Veertiigoo!" I just want to jump up and down and scream excitedly while pumping my fist in the air. IT'S LIKE BAD. That's what Bad does to me. Get any live performance of Bad, and when Edge launches into his solo (after "This desperation/isolation/revelation ... [et cetera]" or "Let it go, uh-huh, and so fade away!"), I will start thumping the air and belt out "GO! GO! GO! GO! LET IT GOO-OH-OH!" You can blame the 5 February 1985, Bologna performance for that. And the second I heard this, I leapt into the air AND DID THE SAME THING. GO, GO, GO, VERTIGO!
THE LAST TWENTY-TWO SECONDS ARE THE BEST TWENTY-TWO SECONDS OF MUSIC I HAVE HEARD IN OVER A YEAR! A YEAR!
You live in a place called VERTIGO!
I also finished downloading a DVD of some U2 TV appearances, and includes the early 1987 miniset they played at The Old Grey Whistle Test television show. It goes from good to absolutely GREAT.
Those of you who know my U2 bootleg tastes well will attest to the fact that I normally label performances of Pride as the only time U2 sounds better in the studio than live. THINK AGAIN. The Whistle Test performance is BLOODY AMAZING. They get the ringing guitar right. Bono sings the chorus RIGHT. He messes up the lyrics but it DOES NOT MATTER, especially because some of his new ones are BEAUTIFUL. It's just AMAZING.
The only performances of Pride that are better than the studio version;
1. 8 March 1987, Belfast (Whistle Test)
2. 31 August 1984, Wellington
3. 30 December 1989, Dublin
Aaaahhh, I am absolutely GIDDY, because this is just so amazing, it is everything I wanted, aaaaaahhhhh! You were expecting sense out of me? Yeah, so was I until I discovered this leak!
*bounces off the walls* Eeeeeeee!!!!
What's really scary is that this is an unofficial leak of terrible quality. Imagine what will happen when I am actually holding the CD in my hands! It will be absolute INSANITY!
U2 ARE LIFE.
Oh, and I think I'm ill or something else bad is happening to me because I spent an hour on the toilet last night (doing nothing) and just about threw up after school today besides the fact I have next-to-nothing in my stomach, but WHO CARES? I am just so excited right now to care.
U2 ARE LIFE.
