Andre 22 - Aaron 20, 13-21, 21-18, 12-21, 16-21 (hmm ... was it 16? I forget. Might've been lower), 21-17, 21-13, 21-12.
So, yes, I won 5-3. We were originally only going to play 5 games, but I wasn't happy losing 2-3, so we continued playing and I won 3 consecutive matches (we were going to stop again at 7, but Aaron thought he could bring it back to 4-4. We decided we'd stop as soon as one of us got a 2-game lead). So that was very fun. Aaron's naturally gifted at the game - it was only his sixth time playing table tennis and yet he really gave me a run for my money. He needs to play more often. He could probably get very good at it. But, hey, this is Aaron, he's not likely to get out there and do it. He'll stick to playing piano and learning more German than I possibly could.
Otherwise, we didn't do too much. Aaron's even less exciting and active than me, which I never thought possible. But at least we passed the time. I even made him listen to some U2, and although he won't admit it, I think he doesn't mind them. I've TRIED to convert him into another U2 fan - oh how I've tried! - but Aaron's a stubborn one. Hehe, it's funny to see his reaction when I say 'U2' - he generally cringes and shies away! Rather humorous.
In other news, there is no other news. Well, actually, right now I'm pissed off with my inability to play guitar with much decency, but I guess I shouldn't expect too much right now. I'm expecting too much from myself. More practice is needed, I guess, but I know I'll never be even half as talented as The Edge (I REALLY wish I could play like him; he's a bloody legend). Maybe I should stick to my novel ...
Oh, M*A*S*H is going to be on soon. I love M*A*S*H, and, it may sound a bit weird, but watching it together is me and my Mum's thing that we do together. Even if we don't see each other at all during the day, there's always M*A*S*H. So yes, I shall be off.
