I'm ripping some songs to my computer. I want to keep them in the proper CD format, not mp3, so do I rip them in wav? That's what I did earlier. I even ripped an mp3 sourced boot in wav, which was rather odd ...
Anyone know where I can find Alex Descends Into Hell For A Bottle Of Milk/Korova 1 by U2 online? Anyone actually got an mp3 of it?

Oh wow, today's actually worked out good. ADSL application done, they're now testing to make sure our line can have it, and Telstra's already told us we can so if we get a negative result back from them, then we can complain to Telstra and possibly sue them for anti-competitive behaviour. They've been known to connect people to Telstra ADSL while denying other companies, and they've been sued about it before. But I don't think there'll be any hassles. And all of our ADSL equipment has now been ordered.
I'm so relieved. Everything last night looked so bad, like we were about to waste a tonne of money and time, but now ... phew, it's looking good. I'm so relieved.
Still stuff that annoys me, though. I can't believe it's Christmas already. It feels more like it's my birthday, more January 17-y than like it's Christmastime. I don't want to be Christmas. It doesn't hold much for me any more, and it's not really exciting. It has become just an occasion for young kids and materialism, which is sad. Is there something wrong with retaining the original point in something? Bleck. I can't be bothered with Christmas this year.
Last night of the trains tonight. We have to pack them all up, and beforehand we can have heaps of fun, crashing them and stuff. I'm looking forward to it ... though crashing isn't as appealling at this time of year. It's the 50th anniversary of the Tangiwai disaster tomorrow; a terrible train crash in New Zealand that nearly killed my Grandpa. I'll post more tomorrow about it.
